Imam Ali (a.s) 12 Shaheed e Kufa

Third Caliph Osman was martyred by riots. Thereafter Ali was  Council constituted by 2nd Caliph Umar ibn Khattab R.A, selected Ali a.s as 4th Caliph and all Muslims in Madina and other people from other cities accepted allegiance of Ali except Muawiya who was governor of Syria. He called Amr bin Al As for his help and Amr promised to help Muawiya for the governorship of Palestine.
