Ali apoointed Muhammad son of Abu Bakar Sadique as governor of Egypt. Muawiya's army attacked on Egypt and defeated Muhammad, arrested him and burned him after packing him into the skin of a donkey.

They planned to attack on them and Abdul Rehman son of Muljim was given task to attack on Ali.
